Marinelly Diaz Saporiti

Senior Advisor, Mexico City

Marinelly is passionate about global development issues, particularly inequality, which is why she has worked in public policy for her entire career. A lawyer by training, with close to 20 years of experience, she has worked at the intersection of public policy issues, having participated in government, lead a nonprofit dedicated to promote access to justice, and occupied in-house roles at leading tech and consumer products companies, like Facebook and Empresas Polar. Her areas of expertise include regulation, advocacy, cross-sector partnerships, and programs across a range of areas such as economic growth, digital literacy, and gender equality.

Marinelly is Venezuelan and comes from a traditional Italian family that migrated to Caracas in the 1950s, which is why she loves food, wine and family above all. She’s fluent in the Ligurian language (a Romance language spoken mainly in Liguria in northern Italy, and also in south west France, Monaco and southern Sardinia by about 500,000 people), as well as Spanish, Italian and English.
