Prashant Pandit

Prashant brings a comprehensive knowledge of technology and its application in a wide range of complex projects, both in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. After completing an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Leiden University in the Netherlands, he spent five years at India’s NASSCOM Foundation launching and managing landmark programmes such as BiGTech.in with Techsoup USA and ConnectIT with Microsoft. Working with hundreds of nonprofits across India, he gained first-hand insight into their technology challenges. He founded DigiSarathi in 2012, to leverage the latest tech to enable low-cost IT solutions for SMEs and NGOs in India.
He has a strong belief in the power of volunteer work, and his special focus is on Internet and mobile opportunities for business, as well as digital storytelling.
Originally from Mumbai, Prashant now resides in Pune where he is an active member of the local startup ecosystem. When not working, he enjoys reading non-fiction and playing chess.
