Luisa Bonilla de Galvão de Queiroz

A career diplomat from Guatemala, Luisa was part of her country’s Foreign Service for 19 years. Throughout her career, at the multilateral level, she was assigned to the Permanent Missions of Guatemala to the United Nations in New York and in Geneva, where she was responsible for Disarmament, Human Rights and candidatures related to the UN. At the bilateral level, she worked at her country’s Embassies in Peru, Brazil (twice) and Mexico, where she was in charge of technical cooperation, political and consular affairs. Luisa managed various partnerships on behalf of the Guatemalan government, navigating geo-political, economic and development priorities.
With an academic background in political science, she is fluent in Spanish, French, English and Portuguese. Luisa currently lives, for the third time, in Brasília, Brazil, enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and above all, spending time with her husband and children.
